The feature can be accessed by visiting “Business Settings” and then selecting “Short Link”. A default message will also be available which they can either edit or send as it is to the sender. Business can share this short link on their website, social media channels, email, app, and other media channel.
A short link has a format like “‘https://wa.me/your business number” and it will allow your customers or clients to open a conversation with your business instantly.
The feature sounds quite interesting and can help businesses in reaching out to their target audience in a much more convenient fashion.
Do we really need to have the WhatsApp Business version?
Well, this totally up to the user’s preference. If you have a small business and want to maintain the communication or want to build a following then it’s a very good tool which is 100% free as of now. Using a WhatsApp Business app builds trust between the business and the customer. Some business is already using it for taking product orders, marketing their product and receiving feedback. Can we have both versions on the same device?
You can have both the apps i.e. WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business on the same mobile but it has to be registered with the different mobile number. If you have a dual SIM mobile, then it is easy to set up.
Unfortunately, you have to loose your personal WhatsApp if you want to use the same number which you have been using for your personal WhatsApp for the WhatsApp Business.
